Applications are now being accepted for all those interested in volunteering for the 2012 Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure. In fact, many Race responsibilites have already been assigned and our volunteers are hard at work! So, please get your applications in as soon as possible. Special Notes About Race Volunteering
  • NO Walk-in Volunteers will Be Accepted on Race Day. While we appreciate your support, an event of this magnitude requires pre-planning, assignments and volunteer training (in many instances)
  • You must complete and return the form above by April 30, 2012 to participate as a 2012 Race volunteer.
  • All Race volunteers must partiicpate in one of two mandatory meetings: Saturday, April 28, 10AM - 12 noon at the Sheraton City Center Hotel; OR Monday, April 30, 6PM - 8 PM at the Sheraton City Center Hotel. The Sheraton is located at 17th & Race Streets, Philadelphia. 

 

 

 

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunity: Office Help

Spend some time with the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate staff and help us implement any number of special events, projects and initiative to serve our community and advance the Komen Promise. Hours are flexible and the results beyond value in helping to assure every possible penny is available for our life-saving mission. Volunteer meetings are typically held the third Monday of every month, at 6:00 PM at One Independence Place, 241 South 6th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 in the 2nd Floor Community Room. Please continue to check our online calendar of events for to learn more about volunteer meetings and opportunities. We look forward to having you join us, and achieving great things together... for the cure.

 

Please note: There will be NO monthly volunteer meeting in January 2012. Our February meeting will be a special event, held in conjuction with our Race for the Cure Team Rally February 21.
