Breast cancer survivor, extraordinary volunteer and the 2011 Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure Honorary Team New Balance Member shares her Race day emotions as a way to connect others in the hope of the Race and all it empowers.
Dear Friends in this Fight,
My family and I walk each year in memory of my mother Dorothy Pearson, who died from breast cancer in 1990 and for those who are now "fighting the fight". By doing my part in fundraising, I feel that I am helping to find a cure, so that another mother, daughter, granddaughter and sister will not have to hear those frightening words "you have breast cancer". Every year there are more and more survivors in pink on the steps of the Art Museum...So I know We ARE Winning!
In hope and celebration,
Pat Greager
