About the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate and our Mission
We promise to work every day, here at home, to empower all men and women… from all walks of life… in all generations to face and defeat breast cancer.

The Philadelphia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is part of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.
Serving fifteen counties including Philadelphia and surrounding counties in Pennsylvania, all three counties of Delaware and Camden County, New Jersey, the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate embraces hundreds of thousands of people in its vision to end breast cancer forever. To that end, in the past twenty-one years, since the first Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure, they have distributed over $49 million in grants to local organizations to advance breast health/breast cancer awareness, education, screening and treatment services; funded approximately 120,000 mammograms for women in need in its service area; and contributed approximately $19 million to breast cancer research.
