In loving memory of Megan Ashley Perry
In loving memory of Megan Ashley Perry, a devoted Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure advocate, and friend to everyone in the fight against breast cancer. Megan Ashley Perry's life ended tragically on May 15, 2008, age 25, when she was the victim of a fatal car accident. Megan was the beloved daughter of Arthur A. Perry, III and Mary Ellen (Yannelli) Mason.
Megan lived every moment of her short 25 years with enthusiasm and passion. She traveled to Alaska and Italy, lived in New Zealand, ran in charity races, and volunteered for a wide variety of community organizations. She graduated from Corpus Christi School, St. Elizabeth's High School, and the University of Delaware. Megan was pursuing her Masters degree in Education to become a guidance counselor.
Megan is survived by her twin sister, Elizabeth Rose Perry of Millsboro, Delaware; her brother, Sean Arthur Perry of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; her sister Amanda (Perry) Neill of Narberth, Pennsylvania; her maternal grandmother Mary Louise (Caputo) Yannelli; and her paternal grandparents Arthur A. Perry, Jr. and Rosalie (Wilson) Perry. Megan is also survived by her stepfather Edric R. Mason, Jr.; her stepsisters Jennifer Mason, Stefanie Mason, and Brittany Mason; her brothers-in-law, David M. Neill and David R. Perrine; and her treasured aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers.
On Sunday, May 11th, Megan completed the Race for the Cure in Philadelphia with her mother, her sister Amanda, her Aunt Helene, her Nanny, and her friend Devon. Megan was dedicated to improving the lives of all those with whom she came in contact. She pursued every endeavor in her life with enthusiasm and commitment. Her loving soul, vibrant smile, and passionate zeal for life will be missed from now until eternity.
In her honor, in lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts made to the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate. Click here...
