You loved them last year as the Official Celebration Sponsor of the 20th Anniversary Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure... now, Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) is going to even greater lengths and deeper depths of devotion as the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate's first Champion Sponsor of the Promise.

As we enter the new era of our community breast cancer movement -- one where the next finish line we cross will be into a world without breast cancer -- the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate family is proud and thankful to have Cancer Treatment Centers of America as our "co-pilot" for this exciting journey.

the Promise commitment by CTCA is unprecedented in the history of the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate... demonstrating once again CTCA's utter devotion to fulfilling the Komen Promise by stopping at nothing until every person, of every generation, of every community is living the reality of an end to breast cancer forever.

 

A sponsor and supporter of numerous Komen Philadelphia Affiliate initiatives since opening its Eastern Regional Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2005, CTCA's commitment to our mission has grown exponentially over the past five years. Beyond a substantial financial commitment to the Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure, positioning them as Local Presenting Sponsor, as

the Promise, CTCA will support multiple activities of The Affiliate through October 2011. Support will include everything from monetary and in-kind donations, to hosting events, to forming a Race team, volunteering, fundraising, and helping to plan and implement new initiatives for empowering the local breast cancer movement.

• Presenting Sponsorship of the 2011 Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure Kick-Off Party

• Main-Attraction Tent on Race Day: offering unique opportunities for Race-goers

• Sponsorship of park-and-ride services for the Race

• Inspirational online communications to the community from CTCA executives, staff and patient-survivors

• Hosting of one Team Captain Mentor Rally

In addition, CTCA 'jump started' the partnership with multiple contributions to elevate the fun and success of the 2010 Komen Philadelphia Pink Tie Ball,® including underwriting new BidPal technology, bringing to us entertainers Candy Coburn and 'Marilyn Monroe,' and the purchase of 100 'Proud to be Every Girl's Best Friend' boas, the equivalent of funding 100 mammograms for women in need through The Affiliate's community grants program.
